Ram Anand is a Malaysian-born writer, novelist and amateur filmmaker. A filmmaker by qualification, Ram had also spent eight years as a political journalist in Malaysia at four different organisations before leaving the profession in 2018.
Ram is the author of The Rainforest Unicorns, a novella set in Kuala Lumpur published in 2011, and also Last Man Dreaming, a novel manuscript set in Mumbai that took seven years to complete and is currently being shopped around to publishers.
Although he consumes films and literature from all around the world, Ram retains a special affinity for Indian cinema, and is an admirer of the works of the likes of Mani Ratnam, AR Rahman, and Kamal Haasan to name a few.
Ram indulges in the occasional poetry and film reviews in this website, aside from publishing excerpts from his other manuscripts/scripts.
